Application of derivative calculator tricks
1. Rate of Change
Steps:
- First of all, Note whose rate of change is given and whose rate of change is to find out.
- The determine the formula for the term whose rate is to be calculated in terms of the term whose rate of change is given.
- The press shift + (integration sign) for derivative symbol, and put the function inside it replacing main variable with x.
- put x determining the value of main variable in given point.
- and multiply this by rate of change given to us.
- Finally press '=' to get answer.

2. Maxima minima
Steps:
- Find first derivative of the function first.
- Equate the 1st derivative to 0 and solve this using calculator to get values of x.
- Put this values of x in the given function on calculator, and test which value of x gives largest of lowest value of x has more than 1 solutions.

3. Tangent and normal
Steps:
- Press shift + integration sign for derivative sign.
- Copy the function inside that
- put the x co-ordinate in place of x= out side the derivative bracket.
- You will get slope as the answer.
- Put m=slope in y=mx+C equation to get equation of tangent.
- put value of both x,y in the resulting solution to get required tangent.
- For normal find slope by m x m' = -1.
- Place m' in place of m in step 5 and rest of the process is same.
